Advent 2025 Ango Practice

Advent is a season of expectation and waiting in which we are urge to “keep awake.” Ango is a Japanese Zen term that literally means “dwelling in peace.” Ango periods are times that we intensify our practice in order to cultivate awakening. Practices during an Ango include meditation, study, and mindful work.

As an interfaith community seeking to awaken to the reality of Christ in our world, we bring these two traditions together. We hope you will join us in this practice. The schedule on our home page highlights the opportunities for shared practice.

Below is the daily reading schedule for our study during our Ango. We will be reading and discussing Thich Nhat Hanh’s meditations on time in the book Inside the Now.
